ADHD is a bitch

i made this doodle called "my daily dilemma" and just realized how well it captures living with ADHD

i wake up everyday trying to tell myself: "imma work on the script for ep 3 today and make amazing progress! ill prolly finish the whole thing by may!!" "im gonna draw a million things i wanna make and than do some comics!" "imm go bike and get monster energy than draw and write a bunch more!"...

in reality, i get 2 drawings done and write 1 sentence in the script before doomscrolling, than drinking and crying myself to sleep TwT..

i dont think what i go through is particularly bad, this is just the struggles i go through and nothing can be done about it

i never knew what "masking" was as a child, really! i just never learned the concept of masking and so the things i do doesnt feel "ADHD" to me, its just- "yeah i do and think things like this".

just because you experience certain things, doesnt mean you have ADHD.. and just because you have ADHD, doesnt mean you experience certain things

i genuinely forget that im not "normal people" in society its crazy, its probably why i hate people mentioning im any minority if its not relavent to the conversation at hand

im not just "the guy with adhd" or "the guy thats queer", im just.. me! im simon! im a person who happens to be blah blah blah

dabbling in game-making

ever since i was a child, i wanted to try making a video game

death by walking itself originally started as a video game idea. it was about 2 boys trying to find their way back home, battling monsters along the way.. think of it like co-op cry of fear! kodella was only meant to be a side character you meet halfway through the game. it was started by me and my ex-girlfriend but fell apart as we broke up and she stated that she didnt want me using her ocs,,

since kodella and the title was all i had, i wrote a story about her grief over her dead mother, and kodella's willingness to get some answers

and thus.. the death by walking you now know was born! astrid and miko came a bit later

something in me knew kodella was meant to be a protagonist!

i did have this like- other game idea beforehand about an angel girl who fell from heaven and you need to help her get back.. never truely went through with it, but i still keep the angel herself around (sorrow/kanashimi)

i currently hope to create at least 4+ games throughout my career, but right now im starting with a simple visual novel called "Autriche m'a changé" ("Österrike har ändrade mig" i svenska/"Austria changed me" in english)

its an ecchi game about a troublemaker boy who meets the love of his life in an austrian boarding school

now youre wondering.. "ECCHI?? SIMON? what prompted you to make nsfw so suddenly?"

welll... seeing as death by walking has literally mentioned rape and csa, i feel ive been treading on that line for a bit now ;3;

i used to not like making nsfw cause i was uncomfy, now its more about lack of skill in drawing such things. i do plan on some wild moments in this game but for the most part, im going easy on my first ever video game. i wanna try at something new and games help me try that! Autriche m'a changé will likely be published on itch for free and i promise to tag and warn properly. i dont need to say the obvious, dont look forward to the game if youre under 18 :p

im still working on DBW's 3rd episode, this is just a side thing! im excited to eventually show off more!

they will sometimes be in swedish, sometimes in english, dunno yet :p as much as i really want to find any chance at speaking, i know majority of swedes understand english anyway. i still kinda dont like how the website looks but ehhh- itll do!

ive been working on merch stuff, i feel like the best time to release merch is after uploads. i hope no one thinks i make dbw just to sell this merch, its just that im a tiny TINY ass artist living in a shitty household and need money, i love drawing/animating and want it to be my job, and part of a job is being paid ofc! vending at cons and such is part of my job and also a cool way to promote dbw imo :D i wish i could do event in sweden.. one day!

i live in a place with the biggest population of swedes outside of sweden, i think thats neat. ill do 2 "collections" of merch each year, a pride collection with different theming each time (2025 was maid)

2026 will be beach

and than an "ep" collection, a group of merch for each episode release.

i have ideas for 2 more pins, some new stickers, ipod theme keychains, a tote bag, new art prints, and likely my first online-exclusive merch in the form of shirts :3 tailored to my style mainly
